Delete Your Data
This page explains how to delete your Bookvelt account and the personal data attached to it. It applies to accounts created on bookvelt.com and sportsbar.app, however you signed up: email, phone, Google, Apple or Facebook.
1. Delete it yourself
This is the fastest route and takes effect immediately.
- Sign in at bookvelt.com or sportsbar.app.
- Go to My Account, then Security.
- Choose Delete account and confirm.
2. Ask us to do it
If you cannot sign in, for example because you have lost access to the email address or phone number on the account, contact us through bookvelt.com/contact and ask us to delete your account.
Tell us the email address or phone number the account uses. We may ask you to prove who you are before we act, and we will ask for no more than is needed to establish that.
We respond within 30 days. Where the law that applies to you sets a shorter deadline, that one applies instead. There is no charge.
3. What happens when your account is deleted
- Your account is immediately marked inactive and you are signed out everywhere.
- Your name, email address, phone number, avatar and any linked social accounts are erased or replaced with a non-identifying placeholder.
- Bookings you have already made keep the name, email address and phone number you gave at the time of booking. They are records of a sale, held with the payment processor and the location, are kept for as long as tax, accounting and payment-dispute rules require, and are never used to contact you. Because they stay linked to an internal account number, this is pseudonymization rather than irreversible anonymization, and those records are still treated as personal data under the GDPR.
- Deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed. You would need to create a new account to use Bookvelt again.
4. What deletion does not reach
- Bookings you have already made for future events stay valid. You can still use them to check in. If you want them cancelled as well, cancel them before you delete your account, or tell us when you contact us.
- Payment records held by Stripe are not affected. Stripe is the payment processor and keeps transaction records independently, for the period its own policies and financial law require.
- Records we are legally required to keep, such as invoices and tax records, are retained for as long as the law requires and no longer.
5. Disconnecting Facebook, Google or Apple
Removing Bookvelt from your Facebook, Google or Apple account stops that provider being used to sign in, but it does not delete your Bookvelt account. To delete the account and its data, use section 1 or section 2 above.
You can also unlink a provider without deleting anything, under My Account, then Security, then Connected accounts.
6. Your other rights
Deletion is one of several rights you hold. You can also request a copy of your data, correct it, or object to how it is used. Section 10 of the Privacy Policy sets out the full list and how to use it.
